Meet Dr. Adam Lokeh - Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Adam Lokeh, MD is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and trained in a broad spectrum of procedures including reconstructive surgery, all types of cosmetic surgery and hand surgery.
An honors graduate of the University of California, he completed medical school and training at the University of Minnesota in both General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2004.
During his plastic surgery fellowship, Dr. Lokeh conducted extensive research into facial reconstruction and breast implant safety, resulting in multiple publications in scientific peer-reviewed journals. Having completed education material for the American Society of Plastic Surgery, he continues his effort to educate patients through seminars and presentations in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. Dr. Lokeh also participates in the training and education of other health care professionals through direct mentoring and formal workshops on the management of traumatic injuries, suturing techniques, and other plastic surgery topics.
In private practice, he has worked in all areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery including several local Level One Trauma Centers, performing advanced techniques in facial reconstruction and limb reattachment.
Dr. Lokeh has a special interest in body contouring and post-bariatric, post-weight loss plastic surgery. As a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, he has served on the Post Bariatric Plastic Surgery Task Force and has spoken around the country on this subject. He takes a special and personal interest in post-bariatric plastic surgery having undergone weight loss surgery himself. Dr. Lokeh has a particular understanding of the special needs and concerns of weight loss patients and provides educational talks to prospective and current weight loss patients sharing his experiences as a patient and a plastic surgeon. He is an active member of the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Lokeh is married, has a two-year old son, and enjoys the adventures of global travel. He regularly donates his time and services providing reconstructive surgery, including repairs of cleft lips and palates, to children in Guatemala, Peru and Haiti.
