What is an Arm Lift?

Also known as a Brachioplasty, an Arm Lift can remove excess skin and fat in the upper arm, providing a more firm, sculpted and youthful look.

Who can benefit from an Arm Lift?

Both men and women benefit from Arm Lift surgery. Do you need a little tightening? Or perhaps you’ve lost a lot of weight and have excess skin or fat that is too stretched. Or maybe you had weight loss surgery and need to tighten up the excess fat or skin that remains. All indications will benefit from arm lift surgery.

How is this procedure performed?

Fatty tissues are removed through an incision made by your surgeon. Pending on your needs, an incision can be made from the elbow to under the arm pit, and the surgeon will remove fatty tissues in those regions. Incisions may be smaller pending on each individual case.

What type of results can one expect?

Reducing the fat and tightening up any unwanted skin/fat in the arm region can boost your self-confidence and image. It could also allow many to feel more comfortable wearing a t-shirt or tank top. Like many plastic surgery procedures, an arm lift can help restore your body and also improve your self-confidence and self-esteem. Being comfortable in the clothes you desire is a major step towards regaining that confidence.

For consideration

Before your arm lift surgery – and any plastic surgery procedure, Dr. Lokeh will discuss before and after scenarios of your procedure. To help prepare for Arm Lift Surgery, you may be asked to change some things related to your diet and medication intake. For example, it is recommended you stop taking anti-inflammatory medications or aspirin, to help prevent blood loss during and after surgery. He may also recommend you stop taking herbal dietary supplements or other supplements. These are small, yet important aspects to take into consideration during your consultation.
