Reconstructive & Trauma Surgery Minneapolis
I perform reconstructive surgery as part of Children’s Hospital Level One Trauma Program and enjoy taking care of children as some of my most rewarding work throughout my career.
Another skill set that helped my effectiveness as a reconstructive surgeon began early in my experience with Peripheral Nerve Surgery. Often done under a microscope, it allows for surgical reconstructions by moving tissue from one part of your body and using it to reconstruct an area affected by trauma or cancer (e.g., free flap reconstruction of a breast cancer patient). It is also a skill necessary for reattaching severed digits and extremities. I was part of the North Memorial team of plastic surgeons performing these advanced reattachments from 2004-2010.
